Space travel has immensely enriched our knowledge of the solar system. It has afforded us a new scientific understanding of our own planet, the earth, through photographs taken by the astronauts. In April 1961 Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made man’s first space-flight. It was a milestone in space travel.

But the scientific investigation had proved that sun is an ordinary star and moon is a planet like other planets. After this the man has entered the age of the space travel. The invention of rocket was the first step in space travel. Scientists had already discovered that there was neither air nor water on the moon.

One of the themes is the theme of boredom. The main characters often complain of boredom that fills their lives. For example, Titus states that not only the moon and Mars are boring, but everything around is boring.

My journey to space started one night while I was dreaming. It was as if my body was empty and that my consciousness was flying. I felt that my soul had left my body, and flew to the space, above my country, I then saw the earth that was happy, a sentient being, conscious and free.
